100 BAYSWATER ROAD, LONDON W2 "It is all very well to be able to write books, but can you waggle your ears?" (J. M.. Barrie to H. G. Wells)
It was while living in this house overlooking Kensington Gardens that James Matthew Barrie first met George, Jack and Peter Llewelyn, the children of neighbours, and told them the story of Peter Pan The Boy Who Never Grew Up.
By the age of fourteen Barrie was five feet tall and never grew any taller.
